The Attempt To Load (URL) Failed - Internet Explorer
Potential Causes:
- Incorrect spelling of the URL, or URL is outdated.
- Incorrect username or password.
- Verify username and password.
- In PPP verify Name and Password
- In FreePPP verify the User Name and Password for the Account
being used to dial out.
- In ConfigPPP, verify the Authentication ID and Password. To
locate these settings, select ConfigPPP, choose Config and
the Authentication.
- Incorrect DNS entries in the MacTCP or TCP/IP (See MacTCP Fix or TCP/IP Fix)
- Corrupt MacTCP or TCP/IP Preferences
- MacTCP or TCP/IP Extensions disabled.
- Check the Extensions Manager and make certain that the MacTCP
or the TCP/IP extensions are enabled. If both are on the system,
only one should be checked.
- Extensions Conflict
- Check the Extensions Manager or the Extensions folder
for any fax and or communications extensions.
- Disable fax and or communications extensions.
- Create a set of custom extensions.
- Memory conflict
- Make sure Virtual Memory or a RAM Emulator is active.
- Check the Memory Control Panel. If Virtual Memory is off and
there is no RAM Emulator, turn Virtual Memory on.
- Corrupt files in the Explorer Cache
- Manually trash the Cache folder.
- Open the Mac HD, System folder, Preferences folder, Explorer
folder. Locate the Explorer Cache and drag it to the Trash.
Empty Trash and restart the system.
