FreePPP not selected - Fix for MacTCP
- Go to the Apple Menu, Control Panels, MacTCP
- Verify that FreePPP is found in that window. If it is not, re-install the
software. If it is located in the Window, verify the version of FreePPP being
used.
- Check the version number in the upper right hand corner of FreePPP Setup
window.
- Open Mac HD, System folder, then Extensions.
- Select FreePPP Extension.
- Choose File, then Get Info.
- Verify that the version number of the Extension matches the version of the
FreePPP Setup being used.
- If they do not match, reinstall the software.
- Select something other than FreePPP then select Special, Restart from the
Main Menu
- Go to the Apple Menu, Control Panels, MacTCP
- Click on FreePPP then select Special, Restart from the Main Menu.
- Go back to FreePPP Setup and see if the Connect button is still greyed out.
